Vídeo: maior tubarão branco já registrado é uma fêmea; assista!
A fotógrafa da vida marinha Kimberly Jeffries estava mergulhando tranquilamente na costa de Oahu, no Havaí, Estados Unidos da América, quando filmou imagens incríveis com o maior tubarão-branco já registrado. Apelidado de Deep Blue (azul profundo), o animal é uma fêmea e tem cerca de 6 metros de comprimento. (Assista abaixo)
Segundo contou, ela e sua equipe estavam no local para fotografar tubarões se alimentando da carcaça de uma baleia morta. Mas ninguém esperava que os grandes tubarões-brancos se interessarem pelo almoço grátis, por isso, a surpresa quando Deep Blue surgiu das profundezas do oceano.
“O tamanho dela era inspirador”, declarou a pesquisadora ao Newsbeat.

Deep Blue é um tubarão-branco já conhecido na comunidade científica há anos, ela tem cerca de 50 anos de idade, aproximadamente 2,5 toneladas e seu tamanho é mesmo que de uma girafa. Mas segundo os pesquisadores, ela não havia sido mais vista de perto por alguém desde 2015.
Deep Blue é tão famosa que ela tem sua própria página no Twitter (@Deep_Blue_Shark) e as câmeras capturam seus movimentos sempre que ela decide fazer uma aparição especial.
